ROGUE SESSIONS

During the winter of 2012, James Beard Award-winning Chef RJ Cooper had to step away from his kitchen to undergo open-heart surgery. Along with the effort of the Rogue 24 team, our team developed and executed Rogue Sessions during his recovery in partnership with Gilt City, The Food Network’s City Eats, and the Share Our Strength organization.

In RJ’s place ten of his friends, some of the nation’s most exciting chefs, took over Rogue 24’s kitchen, including Chef Bryan Voltaggio of VOLT in Frederick, MD; James Beard Award-winning Chef José Andrés and Rubén García of ThinkFood Group; James Beard Award-winning Chef John Currence of City Grocery in Oxford, MS; Chef Tim Byres of SMOKE in Dallas, TX; Jennifer Carroll from Philadelphia, PA; Washington’s 2010 Chef of the Year Chef Scott Drewno of The Source in Washington D.C.; Chef Spike Gjerde of Woodberry Kitchen in Baltimore; and Chef Katsuya Fukushima of Daikaya in Washington D.C.
